Executive Summary
SOFT CONTACT LENS CLEANING ERRORS REDUCED BY ONE-THIRD when users in a recently released FDA-sponsored study were provided with a prototype "integrated" instructional booklet developed by the Center for Devices and Radiological Health. Conducted for FDA by San Diego-based Pacific Science and Engineering Group and entitled "Human Factors Evaluation of Labeling for Wearers of Soft Contact Lenses," the study compared lens cleaning errors observed among 54 adults who had never before worn contact lenses.
