Confirma is looking to expand the applications of its CADstream computer-aided-detection technology with the $17.5m it raised in a series C financing. The Bellevue, Washington firm's system for breast MRI has a worldwide installed based of around a thousand units and the company is currently developing the technology for prostate MRI. The investment round was led by Telegraph Hill Partners and included the participation of new investor Fluke Venture Partners and Confirma's existing shareholders.
