CDC polio vaccine policy: Centers for Disease Control & Prevention will change its polio vaccination policy to "include a greatly enhanced role for inactivated polio vaccine," CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices reports. The change is aimed at reducing the incidence of vaccine-associated paralytic polio, which is caused by oral live vaccine in roughly eight to 10 children per year.
