Executive Summary
ZINC AND MICRONUTRIENT REPLETION IMPROVED COGNITION IN CHINESE CHILDREN in a 70-day, multi-center, double-blind trial that compared the effects of zinc alone, zinc in combination with micronutrients, and micronutrients alone on 1,400 first-grade students in Chongqing, Qingdao and Shanghai. The study results were presented by Harold Sandstead, MD, University of Texas, at an Oct. 11 session of the American College of Nutrition's 1996 annual conference in San Francisco, Calif.
