Executive Summary
The National Institutes of Health's Office of Dietary Supplements will host a Vitamin Methodology Workshop July 7-8 in furtherance of a 2002 congressional mandate for NIH to speed up development of validated analytical methods and reference materials for commonly used botanicals and supplements. ODS conducted a public meeting in 2002 to design a strategy for implementing the congressional mandate, and a stakeholder meeting in September 2007 to provide updates on the program and solicit comments on its future.
