120,000 illicit medicines seized in latest MHRA raid

100,000 Valium (diazepam) tablets and 20,000 other tablets believed to be either unlicensed or counterfeit have been seized by the UK's MHRAin Aylesbury. The medicines included the erectile dysfunction drugs Kamagra tablets, Viagra (Pfizer's sildenafil) and Levitra (Bayer/GlaxoSmithKline/Schering-Plough's vardenafil), as well as the obesity drug Xenical (Roche's orlistat). It is alleged that the drugs were all being sold over the internet. MHRA enforcement officers and police tracked down the medicines in an early morning visit to a residential address in Aylesbury. A man was arrested but has now been released on bail.
