Executive Summary
Mario Gattino,Pfizer’s manager in Hungary, has said that the country has a good chance to host a new R&D centre to be set up by Pfizer with an estimated budget of $25-30 million. The centre would create 75-120 jobs, and a final decision on its location is expected this autumn. If approved, the centre might be built in the university city of Szeged, in southeast Hungary. The government supports the potential move, as supporting R&D is one of its priorities, Mr Gattino said. Several other countries in the region are competing for the centre.
