Parexel expands eclinical technology business

Executive Summary
Parexel International has completed the acquisition of ClinPhone to become a major supplier of eClinical technology. ClinPhone will become part of Parexel's wholly owned Perceptive Informatics. The combined company will provide services such as ClinPhone's interactive voice and web response systems, DataLabs, an electronic data capture and clinical data management system, and clinical trial management systems. In June, Parexel offered 135p per share, valuing the entire issued ordinary share capital of ClinPhone at around $182 million. The offer price represented an 86% premium to the ClinPhone share price on the London Stock Exchange, Parexel said at the time. It plans to issue financial information for the first quarter of fiscal 2009 on September 8th.
