Glenmark Generics has received US FDA approval for alclometasone dipropionate ointment 0.05%, a generic version of GlaxoSmithKline's Aclovate ointment. The product is used for the relief of inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses. Glenmark expects to start marketing the product in the US immediately.
