Amgenexecutives appeared somewhat surprised that their second quarter results were as good as they were – total revenues increased by 1% during the quarter to $3.76 billion, and net income, on a GAAP basis, declined by 8% to $941 million, compared with the same quarter last year. EPS on the same basis were $0.87, a decline of 3%.
