The biopharmaceutical company Kiadis Pharma has appointed Dr Maarten Egeler chief medical officer. Dr Egeler brings more than 20 years' experience in paediatric haemato-oncology to the role, which he will undertake on a part-time basis, overseeing all of the company's medical affairs and supporting the development of Kiadis's lead product, ATIR, which may help mismatched bone marrow transplantations become a treatment option for end-stage leukaemia, and which is set to enter a multicentre pivotal study early this year.
