Health Action International joins EMA patient working party

The European Medicines Agency has given the NGO Health Action International (HAI) Europe full membership of its Patients' and Consumers' Working Party. The EMA created this group to formulate recommendations for the agency and its human scientific committees on all topics relating to patients and medicinal products. HAI says it has contributed to EMA consultations and that it has also played a role in reviewing medicines information for the public. In a statement, the organisation said it would "continue to press for more citizen-focused medicines policies".
