The Scottish Medicines Consortium(SMC) has accepted two ofBristol-Myers Squibb's products for use in the Scottish NHS: Reyataz (atazanavir), for HIV-1 infected adults, and Abilify (aripiprazole solution for intramuscular injection 7.5mg/ml in a 9.75 mg vial), in an abbreviated submission for the rapid control of agitation and disturbed behaviours in schizophrenia when oral therapy is not appropriate.
