Takeda is to cut 28% of the workforce at its Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America (TPNA) business, and about 20% of jobs at its US-based Takeda Global Research and Development Center (TGRD) as part of its mid-range plan for fiscal 2010-12. The plan was announced at the same time as the Japanese group revealed a 5% decline in annual sales.
