Unigene Laboratories, a US-based company focused on the design, delivery, manufacture and development of peptide-based therapeutics, has appointed Gregory Mayes to the newly created position of vice-president of corporate affairs and general counsel, and promoted Roxanne Tavakkol from senior director of regulatory affairs to vice-president of global regulatory affairs. Mr Mayes has more than 10 years' biopharmaceutical legal counsel and business experience, having most recently served as vice-president, general counsel and chief compliance officer at ImClone Systems.
