Rod Hunter has joined the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) as senior vice-president of international advocacy. Mr Hunter has a history of service with the US government, where he was special assistant to the president under George W Bush. His most recent role was vice-president of governmental programmes, Europe, at IBM.
