Ukraine's president Viktor Yanukovich has appointed Dr Raisa Moiseenko first deputy of the recently appointed health minister Alexander Anischenko. She is a paediatrician by education; her most recent position was head of the health department in Kiev, the country's capital. In her new post, Dr Moiseenko will be responsible for the organisation of medical treatments across the country. She replaced Serguey Kopytov whom Mr Yanukovich dismissed on 8 June.
