Inovio Pharmaceuticals entered into a cooperative research and development agreement (CRADA) with the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate Plum Island Animal Disease Center to evaluate the efficacy of the company's SynCon vaccines in foot & mouth disease (FMD), one of the most infectious farm animal diseases, which is capable of rapidly infecting large numbers of animals, including cattle, swine, sheep and goats.
