Merck Sharp & Dohmehas begun construction of its €200 million vaccine facility in Carlow, Ireland. The facility will create 300 jobs during its 18-month construction, as well as 170 jobs in science, engineering, pharmacy, microbiology and management by its planned opening in 2011.
