Executive Summary
Money is Harry Potter. It can change anything into anything else. I use money to convert words into housing and clothes for my children. My children use money to convert a vague sense of parental obligation into X-Box games (or spatial awareness- and reaction-training aids, as I think of them). Pension funds convert thrift into infrastructure, and into manufacturing, and – somewhere in a long chain of venturesome transformation – into R&D that might itself eventually be transformed into drugs.
