The Greek pharmaceutical industry association SFEE has reacted with exasperation to the latest reason for the ongoing failure of the Greek state to settle its debts. It reports that although funds are available to repay the money owed to pharmaceutical companies by IKA, the largest social security organization (from the end of 2011 incorporated into the state health insurer EOPYY), the settlement process has stalled with outstanding debts still around €260m.
