Executive Summary

Specialty pharma company Emergent BioSolutions has appointed A B Cruz III executive vice-president and general counsel. He will also serve as chief compliance officer. Mr Cruz will report to Emergent's CEO, Daniel J Abdun-Nabi. He most recently served as reserve deputy director of maritime operations at US Fleet Forces Command, having just retired as a rear admiral in the US Navy Reserve. From 2008-2012 he served as chief legal officer and corporate secretary of Scripps Networks Interactive.
