Covance appoints new head of expanded CV therapeutic area

Princeton, New Jersey-based Covance has named Dr Barry J Goldstein vice-president and global therapeutic area head of its expanded cardiovascular, metabolic, endocrine and renal unit. He will join Covance's medical and scientific affairs leadership team, based in Princeton. Dr Goldstein joins Covance from Merck where, since 2008, he served as vice-president in clinical research and therapeutic area head for diabetes and endocrinology.
