Takeda has appointed Giles Platford head of commercial operations and emerging markets as of 1 April 2014, reporting to chief operating officer Christophe Weber who recently took the reins from departing CEO Dr Frank Morich (scripintelligence.com, 14 March 2014). Mr Platford has served at Takeda since 2009, most recently as head of the Middle East, Turkey and Africa region.
