Johnson & Johnson's first incubator for biotechnology startups was established in San Diego in 2012 and two years later the company plans to open its fifth Janssen Labs – now known as J-Labs – in Houston, Texas. J-Labs@TMC will be affiliated with the Texas Medical Center (TMC) and its brand new Innovation Institute, which educates life science entrepreneurs about starting their own companies and runs an accelerator to help TMC doctors and scientists launch startups.
