Previously, Collinson was chair, CEO and president of Aurora Bioscience Corp., which was acquired by Vertex Pharmaceuticals. Inc., after which he became director of the company. He has also held senior management positions at GlaxoWellcome Plc. (now GlaxoSmithKline Plc.) and Baxter International.
