Japan-based Shin-Etsu Chemical Co. announced it will start construction of a new manufacturing facility in Germany. The new facility will focus on producing cellulose for use in pharmaceuticals and other medical-ventures. Shin-Etsu also plans to improve production of medical-use cellulose in its central Japan facility.
