China Medical Technologies says it has bought from a diagnostics maker the rights to market a human papillomavirus detection system for $345 million. The system consists of a biosensor chip for HPV-DNA able to identify 24 common strains. The chip was developed by Molecular Diagnostic Technologies, which has agreed to sell the technology to China Medical around the end of the year.
