Thailand's FDA is joining with the private sector to increase access to medical equipment and drugs in the isolated parts of the country. A deputy permanent secretary in the Public Health Ministry launched the effort to replace a failed try he had made while serving as head of the FDA. Instead of relying on obtaining budget funds for the push, the government instead is collaborating with the private sector to help rural hospitals buy essential medical equipment.
