Executive Summary
Shaanxi's pharmaceutical industry, the most developed of China's five northwest provinces, achieved RMB 15.11 billion production in 2007. However, the lack of a comprehensive medical logistics hub has hampered its growth. To address this, Development and Reform Commission of Shaanxi announced that the province will set up the region's largest pharmaceutical logistics center in its capital Xi'an. With a total investment of RMB 300 million, the center will cover a total gross floor area of 33,000 square meters, of which the main structure and auxiliary facilities will occupy 29,250 and 3,750 square meters, respectively. Shaanxi Pharmaceutical Holding Group has been appointed to set up the center, which will be constructed in three years. (Click here for more - Chinese Language)
