Health Care Industry Push For Credibility

This article was originally published in PharmAsia News

Executive Summary

According to the Market Affairs Committee of China Health Care Association, the local health care market has hit 50 billion yuan but the industry is slowing down due to credibility issues. In 2007, the association announced plans for activities to raise the reliability image of the industry, and officially launched a campaign to push the agenda. In September 2007, some 100 firms from the China health care industry signed an agreement to pledge their support to rebuild the sector's credibility. With rising affluence and life expectancy, analysts predict that the health care market will continue to expand as an economic growth area, and ensuring quality and safety of health products will remain a priority.
