This article was originally published in PharmAsia News

Executive Summary

A survey disclosed that about 90 percent of physicians at university medical departments received pharmaceutical firm donations while working on government medical-care guidelines. The Daily Yomiuri asked 50 national and public universities to disclose donations to their doctors from 2000 to 2006, when panels were devising guidelines for 40 major medical disorders.
