India Plans Crackdown On Drug Maker Unfair Margins

Drug makers who charge wholesalers and pharmacists more than what is considered the government's "fair margin" could be fined the difference. The ministry of chemicals and fertilizers is considering a plan to make every company involved in the chain of getting a drug from manufacturer to patient to disclose the margins pharmaceutical firms offer outside of price controls at each level.
