BenQ Sets Up Its First Hospital In Nanjing

Taiwanese IT giant BenQ Corp. has started operating its first health care industry project, a joint venture with Nanjing state-owned Assets Investment & Management Holding (Group). The Nanjing BenQ Hospital is 70 percent owned by BenQ, which has invested over 1.1 billion yuan in phase one. Medical research, clinical teaching and health promotion programs will be set up in phases two and three. Following China's opening up of the health care sector, Taiwanese investors have been eyeing the huge potential market.
