India Moves To Make HIV/AIDS Drugs More Available

Executive Summary
India is the third-largest country for HIV-positive cases, yet its policy of free drugs to HIV/AIDS patients is not being fulfilled because of the vast distances patients have to travel. Many patients give up treatment because of the distances between places where the drugs are available and the cost of getting to them, even though the country has 147 centers for providing antiretroviral therapy. Some patients have to travel long, arduous distances three times a month for treatment.
