This article was originally published in PharmAsia News

Executive Summary

Hong Kong authorities plan to offer subsidized flu shots during the upcoming influenza season of November through March. Hong Kong's secretary for Food and Health said all eligible children would be allowed to receive vaccinations from private doctors at fees subsidized by the government. The physicians would have to be enrolled in the plan and provide shots for children six months to six years of age if they live in the territory, and aged six if they are in kindergarten or an eligible child-care facility. The plan is expected to cover about 300,000 children at a cost of U.S. $7.2 million. (Click here for more
