World health authorities urged China and other countries with fast-growing economies to make a greater commitment to providing resources to poorer countries to fight AIDS. The challenge came as an international AIDS conference ended with the world anti-AIDS groups announcing their goal of universal access to anti-HIV drugs by 2010 would not be met.
