Indian Drug Pricing Authority Allows Increases In Six Bulk Drugs

India's National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority has increased the cap on prices that can be charged for six bulk drugs. The increase covers cefataxime sodium, metronidazole, metronidazole benzoate, parachlorometaxylenol, ranitidine HCI and vitamen E acetate. Effective 15 days after official notification, drug makers are allowed to increase the prices of the drugs within a range of 3 percent to 12 percent.
