The World Health Organization says nearly two billion people in the Asia-Pacific region are at risk for catching the dengue fever. It urged the 37 governments in the region to step up their efforts against the disease and come up with a regional strategy all of the nations can endorse. The WHO's Western Pacific region contains 1.8 billion of the 2.5 billion people around the world believed to be at risk.
