Following a decision to send investigators to Canada after a flu vaccine recall, Japan's Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare has decided to send investigators to Europe to gather information on concerns of flu vaccine safety. The ministry will gather information on Novartis's H1N1 flu vaccine. The team plans to go to Switzerland or Germany, the two countries that currently approved the use of the vaccine, and assess adverse effects information.
