Chongqing Huiyuan Pharma has recently completed the acquisition of Singapore's second-largest pharmaceutical retail chain company - Singapore Chinese Medicines and Health - with RMB 10 million ($1.46 million). Huiyuan will set up a large-scale one-stop TCM supermarket in Singapore that integrates diagnosis services by TCM physicians and sale of health products and Chinese herbal slices. The firm will also establish branches in Southeast Asia to develop TCM clinics, training, exhibition and wholesale businesses. The acquisition is set to boost sales of Chongqing-made Chinese crude medicines and herbal slices in the Singapore market, as well as enhance Chongqing city's TCM product expansion in Southeast Asia.
