Hong Kong Clears Europharm Products Of Fungus, Plant Still Shut

Hong Kong health authorities have now cleared all 359 of Europharm's drug products of containing a fungal growth found in gout products. Although the Hong Kong Department of Health said it plans to continue testing, it said examinations of 39 raw material samples from the drug maker uncovered none of the Rhizopus microsporus fungus implicated in at least six Hong Kong fatalities.
