Several South Korean pharmaceutical companies have halted sales of antibiotics and six other drugs following a discovery they might be contaminated with asbestos, a carcinogen. The names of the four or five companies believed taking the precautionary action were not released, but their drugs are said to be suspected of containing talc contaminated with asbestos.
