MHLW Head Proposes Splitting Up Ministry Into Three

Japan's Minister of Health, Labor and Welfare Yoichi Masuzoe proposed May 26 to split up the ministry into three parts: pension, healthcare and welfare/labor. The proposal was put forth at a cabinet meeting held to discuss the issue. Last week, Japanese Prime Minister Aso Taro suggested splitting the MHLW into two parts: social security and citizen living.
