Australia Plans National H1N1 Shots For All In October

Although the medicine eventually being used is still undergoing testing, Australia's chief medical officer said a national vaccination program against the H1N1 flu virus is set to begin in October. The government has ordered 21 million doses of the vaccine, enough to inoculate the entire population with one dose. Professor Jim Bishop said the government expects the H1N1 virus to linger in Australia beyond the end of the flu season because of a second wave of the virus expected to be more severe than the first one being felt now.
