GSK And UNICEF To Help Vaccinate Children In Remote China Areas

Executive Summary

A China representative of United Nations Children's Fund has announced that UNICEF will help the local national immunization program for children under two years by conducting vaccine inoculation training. It will also set up the necessary facilities in Qianjiang and Chengkou, Chongqing, as well as Molidawa and Lin counties of Inner Mongolia to assist these regions. The RMB 1 million for the program is donated by GSK which would donate RMB 1 for every time someone logs into the official website. Launched last September, the program has finished data collection and implementation planning, and started immunization training, publicizing model vaccination clinics as well as trial inoculation system for enrolled primary school children.
