Japan Vaccine Developers Increasingly Non-pharma Firms

Executive Summary
The few Japanese vaccine makers may have to watch for competition outside of their industry as firms in other areas attempt to develop their own. Among them are Toray Industries, Morishita Jintan and NOF, not known for their involvement in pharmaceutical development. Toray is developing a vaccine against hepatitis C, Morishita one for typhoid and NOF with some institutions for a flu vaccine.
