The latest Flash Eurobarometer poll has shown that EU citizens are seriously concerned about the prospect of using animal cloning for food production. The survey was carried out following a request by the European Commission to assess citizens' attitudes towards animal cloning in light of the opinions on the issue published this year by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and the Commission’s European Group of Ethics on science and new technology (EGE).
