The European Parliament’s Committee of the Regions supports proposed amendments to the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (2002/96/EC) stipulating that 5% of electrical and electronic waste should be “prepared for reuse” 1,2. Moreover, it welcomes the fact that these targets would now include medical devices.
