Three products have received positive recommendations for label extensions in Europe from the EMA's committee for medicinal products for human use (CHMP).

The French parliament has named the members of the joint lower house/senate committee that is to produce a final version of the regulatory reform bill for approval by both houses (scripintelligence.com, 10 November 2011). They are: Aline Archimbaud, Bernard Cazeau, Annie David, Chantal Jouanno, Ronan Kerdraon, Jean-Louis Lorrain and Jean-Marie Vanlerenberghe, who are all senate representatives, and are joined by Gérard Bapt, Jean-Pierre Door, Guy Lefrand, Catherine Lemorton, Guy Malherbe, Jean Mallot and Arnaud Robinet.

ConjuChem Biotechnologies, a Canadian biotechnology company developing drugs from therapeutic peptides, has promoted Chantal Lapointe to vice-president of finance. Mrs Lapointe, who previously held the role of director of finance and administration at the company, has been with ConjuChem for the past 11 years. ConjuChem has also confirmed that Lennie Ryer, vice-president and chief financial officer, left the company on May 15th.
